Facebook Sales

Lolly Wolly Doodle (http://www.lollywollydoodle.com) is a children’s clothing e-tailer.  They’re constantly launching new apparel designs.

Lolly Wolly Doodle has a pretty interesting Facebook strategy.  Their process– first you like their Facebook page, then, when new items (children’s clothes) are added they appear on your wall.  If you like that particular item comment on it with size, quantity wanted and your email address.  Lolly Wolly Doodle will email you an invoice, which needs to be paid in 72 hours.

I can see why Lolly Wolly Doodle likes the system– you’re literally managing their word-of-mouth department.  But it seems consumers like it too because 579,749 ‘like’ Lolly Wolly Doodle Facebook page.

This is how Lolly Wolly Doodle describes their Facebook strategy–

  1. Hi Derek,

WordPress commenting system is weird because it doesn’t let me reply to your ‘nested’ comment. Anyway, if you visit http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151566270458449&set=a.10151566270298449.1073746445.236265058448&type=1&theater you will notice customers are directly posting their email addresses in comments. This is how Lolly Wolly Doodle knows what customers want to make a purchase and their email addresses. Let me know if the link answered your question.
